The educational system in Egypt(final draft)
Education in the largest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual. In its technical sense, education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its amassed knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another.
The systems of formal education are:  preschool education, primary education, secondary education and higher education.
Primary (or elementary) education consists of the first 5–7 years of formal, structured education. In general, primary education consists of six or eight years of schooling starting at the age of five or six, although this varies between, and sometimes within, countries. Globally, around 89% of primary-age children are enrolled in primary education, and this proportion is rising.
In most contemporary educational systems of the world, secondary education comprises the formal education that occurs during adolescence.
Higher education includes teaching, research and social services activities of universities, and within the realm of teaching, it includes both the undergraduate level and the graduate (or postgraduate) level. Higher education generally involves work towards a degree-level or foundation degree qualification.
Egypt is facing serious problems in education-problems compounded by low literacy rates and an exploding population. Educational quality, particularly in basic education and in technical and vocational education, had seriously declined. Learning, conducted with martial drills and physical punishment, encouraged rote memorization rather than critical thinking.
To solve these problems, the Ministry of Education should prevent teachers from using physical punishment with student. The curriculum must be clear and well-organized. Parents also should be aware that they have a great deal in teaching their children.
Finally, education is an important thing for our society to be safe. So, we must cooperate to improve it.
